Job summary

Alberici, based in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Steel Erection Planner to oversee schedule, erection sequencing, logistics, and equipment selection for steel erection scopes on pursuits and awarded projects.

The role focuses on startup guides, look-ahead scheduling, and coordinating labor, materials, and equipment with an emphasis on safety and quality. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in construction supervision, expertise in self-perform steel erection, and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the construction field as a Supervisor.
• Expertise with self-perform steel erection scopes of significant size.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Create the project start-up guide & quality assurance program.
• Build a 1-2 month look ahead work schedule.
• Schedule labor, materials, equipment and is knowledgeable on EWM procedures.
• Purchase of project construction materials.
• Read and understand contracts with owners and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, engineers, craft workforce and other contractors.
• Participate in project planning meetings.
• Set sequence and directions for field and subcontractor work forces.
• Assist PM on estimating change orders.
• Prepare and sequence site logistics within budget and schedule restraint.
• Foresee and mitigate schedule conflicts with subcontractors and self-performed work.

Position Overview:

The Steel Erection Planner (St. Louis-based; Minimal travel) is responsible for providing schedule, erection sequencing, logistics, and equipment selection on steel erection scopes for pursuits and awarded projects.

• Ability to create the project start-up guide & quality assurance program.
• Capability to help read and build a 1-2 month look ahead work schedule.
• Scheduling of labor, materials, equipment and is knowledgeable on EWM procedures.
