Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking an Ironworker Helper I for the Rapid City site. You will assist in assembling and securing structural steel, read drawings, and help set up hoisting equipment to place members accurately.

Responsibilities include fastening and aligning parts, cutting and welding as needed, and maintaining safety standards. Benefits include health, dental, vision, EAP, and a 401(k) plan. Accommodation for may be provided upon request.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience or equivalent training/education.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in helper role.
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools and drawings to perform tasks accurately.
• Assist in setting up hoisting equipment for lifting structural members.
• Assist in fastening, aligning, bolting, and welding steel members as directed.
• Help in cutting and welding of steel members as required to modify structures.
• Participate in toolbox meetings and follow safety procedures on site.
