Job summary

Coneybeare in Anaheim is seeking a Structural Steel Detailer to model and create shop and erection drawings using Tekla Structures, SolidWorks and AutoCAD. This is an on-site role focused on detailing stairs, ladders, mezzanines and building frames.

You will collaborate with project managers, review drawings for accuracy and ensure adherence to codes and standards while meeting budgeted hours. Prior experience with Tekla is essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of related experience required.
• TEKLA Structures experience essential.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Structural Steel Detailer for a full-service Structural Steel Fabrication company in Anaheim. As an industrial TEKLA structural steel detailer, you will be responsible for modeling and creating shop and erection drawings using CAD design software (SolidWorks, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD). This position is fully on-site.

Description and Responsibilities:

• Use Tekla Structures to create plans, elevations, and details of structural building components such as staircases/ladders, mezzanines, equipment platforms, moment connections, machine frames, building frames.
• Coordination with project managers, contractors, and field erection crews
• Review structural and architectural drawings and specifications for accuracy
• Structural steel detailing, including stairs, ladders, and railings
• Work alongside project managers to create and submit RFIs
• Review and revise drawings as needed based on engineering calculations, architect notes/instructions, and field conditions
• Adhere to applicable building codes and company design standards. Detail drawings within budgeted man hours

Required Skills/Abilities:

• At least 3 years of related experience is Required.
• Associate degree or technical trade school in related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of steel industry/construction is Preferred.
• TEKLA Structures experience is essential.
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is preferred
• Knowledge of AWS (American Welding Society).
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
