Job summary

Wagner Equipment Co. is seeking a Steamcleaner to clean and detail machinery in our Windsor, CT wash operation. This role supports Revenue, Rental, and Sales by ensuring machines are cleaned to reflect our One Professional Team standard.

The position requires standing, heavy lifting, and safe operation of wash equipment; a High School diploma or GED and heavy machinery experience are preferred. Benefits and a competitive hourly wage are offered.

• Data Entry, reading/writing, and basic Math skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Looks up work orders in DBS.
• Cleans and details machines for Revenue, Rental, and Sales.
• Cleans and details machines going to customers.
• Cleans tracks for the weld shop.
• Operates machinery safely around the yard area.
• Helps maintain recycle equipment and pressure washers.
• Maintains mud area and related fluids.
• Operates the wash area skidsteer loader.
• Uses high pressure wash equipment and chemicals to degrease machinery.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

The Steamcleaner works in the wash operation cleaning and detailing machines in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

Pay Rate:

$18.80 - $27.60 per hour
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

Essential Functions:

• Looks up work orders in DBS


• Cleans and details machines for Revenue, Rental, and Sales


• Cleans and details machines that are going out to customers


• Cleans tracks for the weld shop


• Operates machinery safely around the yard area


• Helps maintain the recycle equipment and the pressure washers


• Maintains polymer for mud area and mixes when necessary


• Maintains water pits and mud holding areas


• Operates the wash area skidsteer loader


• Uses high pressure wash equipment


• Uses a variety of chemicals to degrease and detail machinery


• Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Heavy machinery experience preferred

Physical Demands & Competencies:

• Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing


• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.


• Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more


• Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills


• Safety & Product Knowledge

Work Environment:

• Work is done in a wet, muddy, greasy, and smelly environment
