Job summary

Flowtec Group is seeking an experienced turbine blade technician to re-blade rotors, stators, and reversing rings to OEM specifications. The role involves shop and customer-site work with precision inspections and documentation.

You will disassemble and assemble steam turbines, weigh and sort blades, and fabricate shrouds, ensuring proper fit and fatigue resistance per ASME/ISO standards.

• Perform pre- and post-blade inspections with proper documentation
• Weigh and sort blades into weight-matched sets; verify tolerances against specs
• Fabricate shrouds: forming, welding, shaping and contouring for proper fit
• Deburr, blend and polish blade tips and shroud areas; verify clearances
• Complete travelers, inspection reports, and QC records

Job description

Experienced steam turbine blader needed. Re-blading rotors, stators, and reversing rings to OEM spec, in the shop and at customer sites.

What you'll do

• Pre and post de-blade visual and dimensional inspections, with documentation
• Remove existing blades from rotor and stator assemblies without damaging parent material
• Weigh and sort blades into weight-matched sets, verify against tolerances and customer specs
• Fabricate shrouds. Forming, welding, shaping, and contouring for proper mechanical and thermal fit
• Peen shrouds to spec for fatigue strengthli>
• Re-blade rotors, stators, and reversing rings from OEM drawings and blading charts, controlling orientation, fit-up, spacing, and fastening
• Deburr, blend, and polish blade tips and shroud areas, verify mechanical clearances
• Complete travelers, inspection reports, and QC records

What you need

• Hands-on steam turbine blading experience on stators, reversing rings, and compressors
• Able to disassemble and assemble steam turbines
• Able to run manual lathes, mills, and surface grinders
• Able to read specifications, work instructions, and engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of turbine geometry, metallurgy, and mechanical systems
• Familiar with ASME and ISO quality standards
