Job summary

Brains and Motion Education seeks a STEAM & Sports Instructor to lead after-school enrichment for K-8 students in Chula Vista. You will introduce students to engaging topics through hands-on projects, creative activities, and sports.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and creating a fun, supportive learning environment that fosters creativity, teamwork, and confidence. Pay is $25/hour, part-time, seasonal, with a schedule of 1:00 PM–5:30 PM, Oct 12–Dec 18, 2026.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience teaching or mentoring youth in STEAM, robotics, arts, sports, or related fields.
• A genuine passion for teaching and mentoring children.
• Ability to confidently engage and manage groups of students in grades K-8.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engaging Activities: Facilitate STEAM, arts, literacy, or sports activities based on your expertise and assigned program.
• Teach New Skills: Introduce age-appropriate concepts and techniques while helping students develop at their own pace.
• Encourage Creativity & Teamwork: Promote problem-solving, collaboration, sportsmanship, and self-expression through interactive activities.
• Create a Positive Environment: Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom where students feel encouraged to participate and learn.
• Follow BAM! Curriculum: Deliver assigned program activities while maintaining effective classroom management and student engagement.
