Job summary

Nexplore is seeking a part-time instructor for after-school programs in Providence, RI. The role delivers hands-on STEM, digital tech, art, and life-skills instruction to PreK-12 students across multiple programs, with training and prepared lesson plans provided.

Classes are scheduled for 3:30PM–4:30PM at the Providence site. Instructors work with a Program Success Manager, use supplied materials, and help children explore 3D printing, electronics, robotics, and visual arts.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher required.
• 2+ years teaching/instructing experience preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach.
• Deliver standard-aligned instruction that fosters critical thinking and problem solving.
• Communicate professionally with the Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Deliver engaging instruction from Nexplore's collection of 80+ programs.
• Engage families and empower each child to meaningfully access Nexplore programs.
