Sonic Automotive at Land Rover Southwest Houston is seeking an Automotive Technician (Hourly) to perform multi-point inspections and light repairs on pre-owned vehicles. This is a steady hourly role with a predictable workflow and income, not flat-rate.

Candidates need at least 1+ year in automotive maintenance or repair, a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass pre-employment checks. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in general automotive maintenance or repair.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test.

Responsabilités

• Perform multi-point mechanical inspections on incoming pre-owned vehicles.
• Complete light mechanical repairs such as brakes, batteries, filters, bulbs, hoses, fluids, belts.
• Identify safety or drivability concerns and elevate items for higher-level diagnosis.
• Document all work and parts used with accuracy.
• Meet reconditioning cycle time goals for retail readiness.
• Safely move vehicles within service, reconditioning and retail areas.
• Collaborate with service managers, advisors, and parts personnel to keep recon moving.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safety-compliant work area.
