Job summary

Yeshiva University seeks an outstanding scholar-teacher to join the Department of Mathematics as a full-time Instructor specializing in statistics. The role involves teaching three courses per semester for undergraduates at Yeshiva College and/or Stern College for Women, along with curriculum reviews and coordinating sections.

The appointment begins Fall 2026 for one academic year, with possible graduate teaching in the Katz School of Science and Health.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field required by time of appointment.
• Prior teaching experience in statistics required.
• Ability to develop curriculum and advise/mentor students.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality teaching in statistics and/or probability at the undergraduate level (and possibly graduate level in the Mathematics PhD program).
• Coordinate multiple sections of statistics courses from introductory to advanced levels.
• Review the statistics curriculum and recommend revisions and innovations.
• Participate in mentorship of students and in faculty governance.
