STATISTICIAN II

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine seeks a Statistician II to function as a key statistical partner in a collaborative research environment. The successful candidate will work directly with clinical, public health, and research collaborators to shape studies from initial research questions through analysis, interpretation, publication, and grant submission. Projects are varied and may involve integrating clinical, registry, census, and geospatial data to examine how community and structural factors influence health outcomes. The role provides meaningful ownership of projects, opportunities to contribute as a scientific co‑author, and exposure to research across multiple clinical and population‑health areas. It is especially well suited for a biostatistician who enjoys applied research, thoughtful methodological problem‑solving, clear communication with collaborators, reproducible analytic practices, and managing several evolving projects with a high degree of independence.

General Responsibilities

• Provides statistical support for research studies by applying statistical methods and analytical expertise to advance research objectives.
• Serves as a technical resource by collaborating with investigators, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the interpretation and communication of research findings.

Preferred Requirements

Salary Range: $60,835-$98,855

Education

• Master’s degree in Math or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
