Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Senior Statistician to perform statistical data analysis and develop methods to improve processes and reduce variability. You will translate data into actionable insights for operating groups and management, and present results to technical staff and customers.

The role involves planning analyses, evaluating operational methods, and possibly leading sampling design and experimental plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/mathematics with 2 years relevant experience; GPA requirements as stated.
• Typical engineering/science experience ranging from 3 to 7 years.
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics or related field with five years experience OR Master's degree with two years experience.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/mathematics discipline with 2 years relevant experience. Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA OR a Master's degree in engineering/physical science discipline with a minimum 3.3/4.0 cumulative GPA OR a PhD in an engineering/physical science discipline with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA. There is a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement up to 4 years post-graduation at time of offer and confirmed by transcript. Beyond four years from graduation, engineering experience will supersede GPA as a requirement for hire.


• Typical engineering/science experience ranging from 3 to 7 years.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics or a related field plus five years experience.


• OR Master's degree in Statistics or a related field plus two years experience.
