Parking/Stations Program Manager – Chicago, Illinois

WSP’s Transportation and Infrastructure Group seeks a Parking/Stations Program Manager to deliver transportation facilities projects from start to finish, including traditional and alternate delivery methods. The role is based in our Chicago office with opportunities across the country.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate project goals and progress to multiple stakeholders.
  • Lead and bring teams together to develop solutions that meet project needs and goals.
  • Develop and assemble design teams, including visioning the project approach.
  • Plan schedules, budgets, and follow through on deliverables.
  • Maintain strong oral and written communication skills and coordinate project status with Senior Management.
  • Utilize project management tools for scheduling, budgeting, and risk registers.
Typical Project Types
  • Transportation projects: rail, bus, airports, marine ports; facility building types: administration buildings, tolling structures, parking structures, bus and rail stations, maintenance facilities, ancillary buildings.
  • Pre‑K through higher education school buildings.
  • Traditional and alternate delivery projects.
Growth Opportunities
  • Build relationships with discipline leads within the Chicago office.
  • Build relationships with Chicago Senior Management, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of teaming arrangements and proposals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering with facility type experience.
  • 12+ years of experience (≥10 years design, ≥8 years project management).
  • Project Manager on complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Professional licensure (R.A.) in Illinois.
  • Knowledge of state and city building codes.
  • Well‑versed in assembling contract documents.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills and well organized.
  • Self‑starter, able to work independently.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and abiding by health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s in Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in transit and rail station design, including familiarity with NFPA 130.
  • Experience in facility (building) design and design‑build delivery.
  • Transportation industry experience.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $157,500 – $233,860.
