A reputable healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain stationary steam boilers and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a Pennsylvania Class A License and experience in boiler operation. This position is critical for ensuring safe and efficient equipment operation. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in Abington, Pennsylvania.
Maintains and operates stationary steam boilers, pumps and related equipment such as water softeners, air compressors, water treatment systems and associated piping, chillers, tower and auxiliary systems. Performs daily chemical water treatment of the boilers to insure proper running of equipment. Abides by and enforces all safety rules and regulations, State and local in order to keep boiler house safe. Responsible for keeping the boiler house and immediate surrounding area clean and up to Jefferson's facilities standards. Occasionally required to perform general mechanical and minor electrical/HVAC work in support of the Facilities department and local building needs.
Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Vocational School, or equivalent. Pennsylvania Class A License required for most PA-based facilities. New Jersey Black Seal required for all NJ-based facilities.
Prior military training and experience in the operation of boilers preferred. Prior experience as a stationary engineer/boiler operator preferred.
