Requirements

Overall responsibility for the daily operation of an assigned retail location, ensuring uninterrupted service and promoting a positive customer buying experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Employment/Employee Relations
• Retail Management/Operations
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely
• Maintain uninterrupted operation by effectively scheduling staff and being readily available to assist when needed
• Inventory counts: maintain appropriate retail stock, fuel, car wash chemicals, and operating supply levels
• Cash management
• Customer service/communication
• Facility maintenance, ensuring a clean, appealing, and safely stocked facility for a positive buying experience

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the District Manager for the location’s territory. The location’s Assistant Manager, Lead Sales Associate, and Sales Associates report to this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational ability, and solid attention to detail.
• Outstanding interpersonal and business skills; a high school diploma is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of management experience.
• Proven motivational and team‑building skills, comfortable directing and training others.
• Completion of an approved Food Service Sanitation Management course with a passing score and maintenance of a valid certificate on site.
• Where required by law, ability to obtain and maintain the applicable Operator License required to sell alcohol.
• Superior customer service skills; ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
• All managers must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for all shifts, including on‑call hours.
• Physical requirements: lift and carry 50 pounds, stoop and bend, reach above shoulder level, climb, shovel, sweep, and mop.

1-3 years of prior management experience in retail, grocery, or restaurant is required.
