Job summary

Skyhop Global is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to lead the local transportation hub, coordinating drivers, routes, and schedules to align with airline timetables. The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and five years in transportation, with shuttle or bus experience preferred. On-site work in Minnesota is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to obtain permits.

Responsibilities

• Manages operational activities and personnel assigned to transportation services dispatched from the transportation station.
• Prioritizes and ensures transit route and service commitments are met.
• Supervises, evaluates and oversees recruiting and training of transportation station staff
• Investigates, documents, and submits reports on station's vehicle accidents and all necessary maintenance.
• Assists in preparing and maintaining budgetary financial reports
• Ability to conduct on-site inspections of all vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Schedule all station drivers and regularly update based on demand and availability.
• Attend all scheduled manager meetings
• Oversee, complete, and follow up on all disciplinary actions needed at the local station.
• Work closely with dispatch to avoid and resolve any service issues.

Skyhop Global is one of the premier ground transportation companies for airline crews. We provide the transportation for pilots and flight attendants during their layover periods in a multitude of cities.

The Transportation Operations Manager is responsible for managing the services and personnel for the local transportation hub.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage, coordinate, and schedule a fleet of drivers according to airline schedule in compliance with company and safety rules to maximize equipment utility, the customer experience and operational profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manages operational activities and personnel assigned to transportation services dispatched from the transportation station.
• Prioritizes and ensures transit route and service commitments are met.

Requirements

• Five years experience in transportation with managing experience in transportation as a service desired
• Experience in supervising transportation staff members
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations applicable to transportation
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Must have current, valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Will be required to obtain driving permits as required by airport authorities.
• Experience driving a shuttle, bus, passenger van or vehicle for hire is preferred.
• Must be able to lift to 75 lbs. by self, up to 20 times a day.
• Must have dexterous use of both hands and legs. Must be able to work outdoors in heat and cold.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language to respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records.
