American Electric Power is seeking an entry-level Station Engineer/Engineering Technologist Associate for the Transmission System Operations Engineering (TSOE). The role supports compliance with NERC standards and assists with commissioning, outages review, and as-built verification on the transmission grid.
Based on site in New Albany, OH or Salem, VA, the position offers SG6 pay between $84,000 and $90,000 with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development

Responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing entry level engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives.
This position is for the role of a Station Engineer within the Transmission System Operations Engineering (TSOE) organization. The role entails supporting the activities necessary to ensure compliance to applicable NERC and industry standards related to configuration changes to the transmission grid. Engineer/Engineering Technologist Associate SG6
**Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.**
Individuals with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology can satisfy this degree requirement, if they obtain a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
**VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with an Non ABET accredited program**
