Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Belvidere, IL, seeks an experienced 2D AutoCAD Layout engineer to define workstation layouts across multiple lines (Trim, Chassis, Final, Door, Engine, HV Battery).

You will coordinate layouts, tooling, and SOWs to ensure correct tool placement and station efficiency, while collaborating with Launch IEs and maintenance teams. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Capable of 2D layout in AutoCAD for multiple operator stations.
• Experience designing workstation layouts and line-side displays.
• Proficient in developing a Scope of Work (SOW).
• Understanding tool relocation and station rearrangement processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with VPE Launch IEs to develop AutoCAD layouts for operator stations.
• Coordinate all AutoCAD layouts, tooling, and line-side displays.
• Define scope of work (SOW) and manage tool relocations.
• Support contractors and maintenance during tooling installations.

• Collaborate with VPE Launch IEs to develop AutoCad Layout for every operator Station (Trim, Chassis, Final, Door Line, Engine Line, and HV Battery Line if applicable)
• Coordinate All AutoCad Layouts
• Tooling / Equipment
• Line Side Material Displays
• Operator Break Areas and Supervisor Desks
• PFS Layout
• Define Scope of Work (SOW)
• Tool Relocations
• Station Rearrangement
• Support Contractors / Maintenance on the actual white steels and tooling installations
• Change Management along with IEs (Scroll Changes / Refinements)

Basic Qualifications:

• Capable in performing 2D Layout in AutoCAD
• Workstation Design Experiences
• Expertise in developing SOW (Scope of Work)
• GA Shop Floor Tooling Installation Facilitation experiences to ensure the correct tools are installed in the right station and in the right way (Festooning / White Steel / Tool Rails / Tooling Sequence, etc)
• Understanding IE scroll / man assignments
• Bachelors Degrees or Equivalent Extensive Manufacturing Experiences
