Job summary

The State of Delaware, Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), is seeking a position to support the Bureau of Oral Health and Dental Services at schools and community locations statewide.

Responsibilities include preparing events, organizing supplies and records, transporting staff and equipment, and maintaining inventories, as well as assisting with participant intake, records, and data entry; this role requires statewide travel and occasional evening or weekend work.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in program monitoring such as monitoring program activities and recommending alternatives, improvements, courses of action, and other changes based on findings.
• Six months experience in screening and detecting communicable or chronic diseases/health hazards to control the spread of diseases/hazards.
• Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Six months experience in narrative report writing.
• Knowledge of etiology of communicable or chronic diseases/health hazards.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Responsibilities

• Preparing events, organizing supplies and records, transporting staff and equipment, tracking inventory, and making deliveries.
• Assists with participant intake, student escorting, consent documentation, recordkeeping, and data entry.
• Provides administrative support by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and treatment history, answering dental helpline calls, and following up with families.
• Statewide travel and occasional evening or weekend work are required.
