Hawai`i State Judiciary seeks a Court Administrator I (Land & Tax Appeal Court) to support statewide operations as registrar of the Land Court and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Tax Appeal Court. You will oversee court records, calendars, budgets, and staff, ensuring efficient, compliant operations across Hawaii.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong analytical and reporting skills to develop policies, train personnel, and liaise with judges, attorneys, and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of specialized experience; JD may substitute for one year of specialized experience.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports, read complex material, and solve problems logically.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Registrar of the Land Court and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Tax Appeal Court, supporting statewide operations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures; manage court records, case management, and courtroom operations.
• Coordinate with judges, Judiciary divisions, attorneys, and external agencies; oversee budgets, personnel, technology, and legislative matters.
• Schedule court calendars statewide; supervise staff and provide technical assistance to the public and legal community; ensure compliance with statutes and policies.
