Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky's General Government Cabinet, Department of Veterans Affairs, invites applications for a Nurse Aide State Registered I (Part-Time) at the Joseph “Eddie” Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. The successful candidate will work in a team, assist residents with bathing, grooming, mobility and meals, and accompany them to appointments, supporting daily activities and compassionate care.

Flexible scheduling includes holiday and weekend premiums.

Qualifications

• Must possess current registration with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry as administered by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• A fingerprint-supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, grooming, dental, oral and nail care
• Assists residents with medical appointments and transports
• Assists residents with bowel and bladder functions.
• Performs total physical care, assisting with meals, assisting with medical appointments and transports, as well as helping to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
