The role requires 90 credit hours, pursuing a BA/BS, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Travel to client locations is required, and strong Excel skills are preferred. This internship offers exposure to real-world tax challenges within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed
• Working towards B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university
• Accounting Major
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred
• Travel to assigned client locations is required, with reliable transportation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Integrate state and local tax services with existing clients
• Complete tax planning and research tasks
• Develop understanding of state and local tax regulations and accounting pronouncements
• Review client’s current tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide enhancements to reduce tax exposure
• Work with client IT personnel to obtain data for reporting, audit procedures, and credits
• Assist client with evaluating sales/use tax software systems and implementation
