Responsibilities

• Complete tax planning and research tasks.
• Develop understanding of state and local tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Review clients' tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide enhancements to improve procedures and reduce tax exposure.
• Work with clients' IT personnel to obtain data on historical purchasing and sales for reporting requirements, audit procedures, and review for potential refunds or credits.
• Assist clients with evaluating sales/use tax software systems that meet compliance needs and support implementation.
