Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking an Audit Associate in our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in Houston. You will perform audit work, support diverse client engagements, and communicate findings to supervisors as you progress toward CPA licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 1 year of relevant professional services experience (internships may qualify).
• State and Local Government audit experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance services.
• Support multiple client engagements, communicating progress and results to supervisors.
• Complete assigned portions of engagements accurately within tight time frames.
• Interact with clients to gather information for timely wrap-up.
• Audit complex areas and prepare financial statements and related reports; may direct small audits.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure effective service delivery.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
