Job summary

Google is seeking a Communications Manager, State and Local to lead U.S. regional communications across multiple locations, including Mountain View, New York and San Francisco.

You will craft strategic plans, content, and campaigns to amplify Google’s public image. You will advise executives on communications, partner with Policy and Marketing teams, and manage local PR agencies while building relationships with journalists and creators to tell clear, local stories about Google’s technology and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or internal and executive communications with technology products or services.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-state communication plans and scalable campaigns.
• Partner with Policy, Marketing, Cloud, and leadership to align messaging and guide local spokespeople.
• Cultivate relationships with regional journalists and creators to translate complex technology into simple, compelling local stories and press opportunities.
• Produce engaging press releases, blog posts, FAQs, statements, and creative social assets tailored to audiences.
• Drive proactive PR opportunities, support local crisis communications, and oversee campaign measurement and reporting.
