PIRG, the Public Interest Research Group, is hiring state directors and advocates to advance consumer-protection campaigns across the country. The role focuses on shaping priorities, organizing coalitions, hosting events, and fundraising to support PIRG's health, safety, and environmental goals.

You will lead outreach in your state, recruit volunteers, write materials, testify at hearings, and grow the team.

Competenze

• Passionate about our public interest mission and using grassroots organizing to win campaigns.
• 4+ years of advocacy or organizing experience; advanced degrees may count toward experience.
• Excellent writing and public speaking skills; experience with traditional and digital media is a plus.
• Creative problem solving; strategic thinker; able to collaborate with diverse groups.
• Willing to travel regularly, including evenings and weekends; strong listener and connector.
