Job summary

NRCS Tennessee State office seeks a State Conservation Engineer to lead engineering programs across the state. The role serves on the Engineering staff and advises the State Conservationist on standards, specifications, planning, design and construction.

A current state Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. The incumbent will analyze engineering work, coordinate training, and provide staff leadership across civil and agricultural engineering activities.

Qualifications

• PE license required (state professional engineer)
• Experience in civil and/or agricultural engineering programs
• Advisory role to leadership on engineering standards and planning

Responsibilities

• Provide staff leadership in civil and/or agriculture engineering programs in the state
• Advise the State Conservationist on all engineering phases of NRCS programs including standards, specifications, planning, design and construction
• Analyze engineering work and recommend training
