The State Attorney’s Office for the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida prosecutes all crimes committed within the above counties. We seek Assistant State Attorneys who share our mission to keep the community safe, pursue justice transparently, fairly, and thoughtfully, and maintain public trust.

Responsibilities

• Prosecutorial criminal casework, including preparation of legal documents, legal research, taking depositions, and interviewing witnesses, victims, and other parties.
• Trial work: case preparation for court presentation, examining and cross‑examining witnesses/defendants/victims, and summarizing cases for jury and non‑jury trials.
• Professional interaction with the public, law enforcement, and office staff; work independently or as part of a team.
