Job description

At Render, we’re building the modern cloud platform for developers creating AI-native, full-stack, multi-service applications. Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure.

Unlike complex hyperscalers or epithelial edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users.

Our platform is trusted by over 6 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $257M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.

We’re a diverse and talented team that values craft, velocity, and user experience. If you’re excited to help shape the future of the intelligent cloud and empower developers everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.

Applying to Render

We're seeking candidates who possess high integrity, humility, and an insatiable drive to learn. Through reasoned discussions and continuous feedback, we strive to improve both individually and collectively. We foster an environment of mutual trust and respect, empowering effective debate to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and team.

We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.

Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.

About the Role

The Render Startup Program is how we earn our place as the default cloud for the next generation of builders. The most important founders don't come to us through ads or big conferences, they come through trusted rooms, warm intros, and high-signal moments. This role exists to build and run those moments at scale.

As our Startup Marketing Associate, you'll be the operational engine and the on-the-ground face of the program. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day mechanics that keep the program humming, and you'll build our SF founder-dinner motion from the ground up, curating the right rooms, running flawless events, and turning relationships into momentum for Render. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Startup Program lead and our Developer Relations team to reach founders where they actually are.

This is a role for someone early in their career but already plugged into the San Francisco startup ecosystem, someone social and high-agency who can make a warm intro in their sleep, fill a room with the right people, and make every founder in it feel like their time was well spent. If you're looking to grow into marketing, partnerships, and growth at a company moving fast to capture a generational market opening, this is a front-row seat.

What You'll Do
  • Run the operational backbone of the Startup Program. Own application triage and review, credit issuance, partner UTM tracking, and CRM hygiene across HubSpot and Airtable, so the program scales cleanly and our lead can stay focused on strategy.

  • Build and run the SF founder engine. Source and curate guest lists of high-quality founders, manage venues, invitations, RSVPs, and logistics end-to-end, and own flawless day-of execution so every event feels effortless and worth a founder's time.

  • Drive light event marketing and promotion. Craft invitations, event landing pages, follow-up sequences, and post-event nurture that resonate with a founder and developer audience.

  • Partner with Developer Relations to reach founders at scale and ensure the content, conversations, and programming land credibly with a technical crowd.

  • Grow Render's footprint in the SF ecosystem. Build and maintain relationships across founders, operators, accelerators, and VC platform teams, and become a connective node in the community we're building.

  • Close the loop on impact. Track attendance, attribution, and conversion from event to program to customer, so we know which rooms produce the best builders and can double down.

What We're Looking For
  • 4-6 years of experience across some mix of sales, partnerships, marketing, program or operations management, recruiting/talent, or developer relations. This isn't a role for someone fresh out of school, but it is a great step for someone ready to grow into marketing, partnerships, and growth.

  • Deep roots in the SF startup ecosystem. You're genuinely social, a natural connector, and you can make a warm intro in your sleep.

  • Fluency in the venture landscape and a real understanding of the AI transformation reshaping how startups build.

  • An instinct for how developers adopt tools. You understand the technologies in the consideration set for technical teams and that developers hate being marketed to. You don't need to have marketed to developers before, you just need to get the landscape.

  • High agency and strong organization. You find problems before they're assigned, you're comfortable owning logistics from invite to follow-up, and you're energized by being in the room.

  • Based in San Francisco, including for evening events.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Existing relationships with founders, operators, accelerators, or VC platform/portfolio teams.

  • Experience running events, community programs, or founder-facing initiatives.

  • Familiarity with the modern GTM stack (HubSpot, Airtable, Clay, Apollo, and similar).

  • Hands-on familiarity with the developer-tools and cloud infrastructure landscape.

Benefits
  • 4 weeks of paid vacation.

  • 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.

  • Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.

  • 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs and HSAs are available as well.

  • Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health and therapy, hobbies, etc.

  • Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.

  • Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area, and home office stipends for remote Renders.

  • Continuous learning benefits & related support.
