Job summary

MasTec Power Corp is seeking a Startup and Commissioning Manager to lead all startup activities from initial design through project closeout. You will coordinate engineering, QA, procurement and client teams to ensure safe, on-time startup and successful handover to operations.

The role requires 15+ years of commissioning experience with at least 4 years in team leadership, plus strong project management, safety, and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 15+ years commissioning experience with at least 4 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup, testing, and commissioning programs from design to closeout.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA, procurement and client teams to ensure compliance and safety.
• Manage startup schedules, site turnover packages, and documentation.
• Interface between construction, commissioning, and operations and minimize conflicts.
• Supervise and mentor direct reports in the Construction Ops department.
