Job summary

Standex International is expanding with a new Fraser, MI facility and seeks a dynamic Plant Manager to lead all plant and production operations for automotive interior soft trim parts. You will oversee plastic injection molding, quality, safety, maintenance, and logistics, building a high-performance team and driving continuous improvement from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of operational management experience in automotive interior manufacturing (Class A soft trim).
• Start-up experience is desirable for a new Fraser, MI facility.
• Experience with plastic injection molding and automated production environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all plant operations: production, quality, safety, maintenance, and logistics.
• Partner with Leadership and Launch Manager to create multi-year strategic production plan.
• Plan and control manufacturing processes to meet targets and deadlines.
• Lead and develop department leads, supervisors, and operators to high performance.
• Monitor equipment performance and drive process improvements in molding ops.
• Ensure adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality standards and safety policies.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Manage site P&L, budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities while satisfying customers.
