Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Power Generation Engineer to join the Power Systems Engineering team at Starbase, TX. You will design, build, operate, and maintain advanced microgrids and high‑power infrastructure to support Starship production and propellant generation, with possible travel to other SpaceX sites.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong electrical engineering fundamentals, and experience with HV systems and protective relays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of power systems design, analysis, and build experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain microgrids at Starbase, TX.
• Lead cross-functional projects and drive rapid improvements.
• Scale high‑power launch and grid infrastructure for production targets.
• Create sitewide power budgets, monitoring, and metering.
• Develop and implement protective relay settings for HV equipment.
• Ensure NFPA 70/70B/70E, NESC, IEEE standards compliance.
