Job summary

SpaceX is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for the Tower & Launch Mount (Starship) role in New York. This position involves the design and integration of components for the launch pad, including tooling and building early versions. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and experience in mechanical systems.

Ideal candidates will have a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in challenging conditions. Experience with GD&T and FEA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of hands-on project experience with mechanical systems.
• Physical dexterity required to work in tight quarters.
• Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with analysts and design team for tower design.
• Develop production procedures and manage part transitions.
• Coordinate qualification and testing of systems and tooling.
