Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Starlink Aviation Integration Technician for the 2nd shift. You will assemble, activate, and integrate mechanical and electrical systems for aviation platforms and support real-time troubleshooting during development and testing.

You will install and repair Starlink products for enterprise aviation systems, adhering to FAA guidelines and regulatory requirements, with a focus on quality and compliance.

STARLINK AVIATION INTEGRATION TECHNICIAN - 2ND SHIFT

As an Integration Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks, including hardware assembly, testing, integration, and repair of Starlink Enterprise/Aviation products. The Starlink Aviation team is developing mobility solutions for aircraft that will connect to the Starlink constellation and provide an amazing in-flight customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble, activate, and integrate mechanical and electrical systems for mission-specific development and continuous-integration testing across all Starlink aviation platforms.
  • Install and repair Starlink products for enterprise aviation systems, adhering to strict FAA, Warp, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues in real-time and provide feedback to prevent recurring problems.
  • Conduct, collect, and report data from various tests, including vibration, shock, thermal, RF, load, and other evaluations required for FAA certification.
  • Maintain product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 1+ year of experience in a hands-on environment using hand tools (e.g., Screwdriver, Ratchet, Allen Keys, Torque Wrench, Pliers, Multimeters etc.).
  • 1+ year of experience performing electrical or mechanical installations and/or assembly.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 1+ year of experience fixing, installing, or building aircraft hardware.
  • Hands-on experience fabricating harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, and test stations.
  • Experience with electrical debug tools, including multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an insistence on permanently correcting errors.
  • Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) or Certified Aircraft Electronics Technician (CAET) certification.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time: 2nd shift: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM.
  • Standing for long periods, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
Starlink Aviation Integration Technician/Level 1: $23.00 - $29.00/hour
Starlink Aviation Integration Technician/Level 2: $28.00 - $34.50/hour
Starlink Aviation Integration Technician/Level 3: $33.00 - $40.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
