Job summary

Fred Meyer coffee department is seeking a friendly barista to provide prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation for customers. You will support department standards, follow core values, and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.

Role requires weekend/holiday availability and training as a certified barista, with a focus on maintaining product freshness, clean equipment, and professional interactions with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Increase sales through effective marketing and merchandising of products in the Department.
• Assist in supervision and direction of department personnel to ensure quality customer service.
• Delegate job assignments and responsibilities to associates per duty rosters.
• Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitor conditions and appearance.
• Monitor code dates and rotate products, remove out-of-code items.
• Present professionally and communicate clearly with customers and partners.
• Prepare espresso drinks and specialty coffee beverages for customers.
• Follow store policies, safety, and promotional programs.
• Perform cleaning tasks and maintain a tidy service area.
• Handle cash and follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.

Minimum

• Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day.

• Follow store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station.
• Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with cleaning standards and work as a store team player.
• Present one's self professionally and demonstrate clear communication with all customer and partner interactions.
• Perform equipment maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist.
• Follow cash handling and register policies.
• Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
• Able to effectively communicate with customers and associates.
