Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest's needs over tasks.
- Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards, including fortuitous cleanliness and presentation.
- Execute food and beverage processes: food deliveries, replenishment, instock routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product.
- Stay aware of current and future Starbucks promotions.
- Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.
- Support the Starbucks Drive‑Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift.
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
- Produce handcrafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.
- Follow food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature‑sensitive food items.
- Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.
- Identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process according to best practice.
- Ensure accurate in‑stocks by placing store‑initiated orders and following proper perishable inventory procedures.
- Execute sampling best practices.
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
- Complete all required training and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‐up (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting them in a friendly, efficient manner.
Qualifications
- Enjoy interacting with guests and team members in a fast‑moving, highly active, and physically demanding environment.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Resolve guest questions quickly while maintaining attention to detail and following multi‑step processes.
- Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Previous Starbucks or food‑service experience is preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to work a flexible, variable schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Capable of climbing ladders and handling merchandise up to 44 pounds safely.
- Flexible regarding temperatures, humidity, and exposure to allergens.
- Remain mobile throughout the shift duration (shift length may vary).
