ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE

The Food & Beverage team ensures products are fresh, in stock, accurately priced, and properly signed on the sales floor. They manage replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Providing a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks’ Food quality and freshness management.
• Knowledge of state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greeting guests, resolving issues, asking for feedback, and ending every transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, inventory routines, data accuracy, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product.
• Always be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks.
• Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift.
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
• Produce handcrafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.
• Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature-sensitive food items.
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process accordingly.
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices.
• Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure accurate inventory recording.
• Execute sampling best practices.
• Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain compliance culture with adult beverage laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

Key Skills

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and teammates.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and able to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Basic Expectations

• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
• Interpret instructions, reports, and information.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders if needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); come to work when scheduled; work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
• Work in refrigeration and freezer conditions, handling allergens.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, etc. while performing certain duties such as Drive-Down or carryout.
• Remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts.
