Job summary

Macy's in Orlando is seeking a Barista to make and sell Starbucks beverages, delivering caring hospitality and outstanding customer service.

You will follow Starbucks standards, educate customers on products, and maintain clean work areas while working a flexible schedule. No formal education is required; 1–2 years of related experience is preferred.

Job Overview

The Barista sells and creates Starbucks coffee beverages following Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge.

Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. What You Will Do

• Demonstrate current and working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
• Follow company standards and maintain work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
• Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills, providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Educate, sample, and serve customers craving food and beverage products.
• Follow station‑specific duties and responsibilities.
• Open and/or close area following appropriate checklist, verifying completion with Manager on Duty prior to leaving the area.
• Maintain PAR stock levels and standards in product presentations.
• Produce and present freshly prepared products following Starbucks recipes while meeting speed‑of‑service standards.
• Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
• Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress code to comply with company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Who You Are

• No education or experience required.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department.
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
• Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
