Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products sold in the department and store
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve store goals
• Prepare beverage selections to recipes and standards and to customer requests using proper equipment; tender transactions by company best practices
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items and inform them of coffee shop specials
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
• Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customers get products they want and need
• Use all coffee shop equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines; prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality to ensure freshness; review sell-by dates and take action
• Properly use kitchen equipment (espresso machine, blender, scale, steamer)
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to department manager
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs
• Report accidents or safety risks to management; follow up on issues or fraud

RESPONSIBILITIES
