Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to questions, making product suggestions.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and fulfill customer requests using proper equipment; handle transactions per company guidelines.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh, correctly portioned products to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Use all equipment in the coffee shop (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) and prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and sell-by dates, taking appropriate actions.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; follow safety procedures and report safety risks to management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues.
• Report accidents or illegal activity as required to store management.
• Handle high-paced or stressful environments and resolve conflicts calmly.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.

Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer's return visit. • Check product quality to ensure freshness; review “sell by” dates and take appropriate action
• Properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale and steamer
