Job summary

Food City is seeking a Starbucks-licensed crew member to provide friendly, prompt service and quality beverages in-store. You will prepare and stock various Starbucks products, welcome customers, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

The role involves handling orders, POS transactions, and following all recipe standards and safety procedures to ensure a great Food City experience. Qualifications: must be 16+, high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to learn coffee/tea

Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Food Service/Coffee experience a plus, but not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products.
  • Learn the ingredients that go into various products.
  • Work with various Starbucks ingredients including various coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
  • Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt service and quality beverages to Food City shoppers.
  • Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
  • Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products while rotating for quality and safety.
  • Maintain a positive, friendly attitude toward customers and associates.
  • Engage with customers, sharing product information and samples.
  • Process cash register transactions using the POS system.
  • Ensure consistent beverage and food quality per recipe and presentation standards.
  • Uphold Food City and Starbucks culture, values and mission.
  • Operate tools and equipment following safety procedures.
  • Follow the company food safety program and handling procedures.
  • Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to meet time and attendance policies.

Job Summary

Create the Starbucks experience for Food City shoppers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
  • Take customer orders, ensure orders are completed in a timely manner, and to the customers’ satisfaction
  • Prepare, bagging, pouring, and stocking Starbucks products, rotating items to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow associates.
  • Engage with customer, offering product information, using suggestive selling techniques, and sampling products.
  • Process cash register transactions using POS system.
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and the mission of both Food City and Starbucks.
  • Consistently operate and tools and equipment, following all routine and safety procedures.
  • Follow company food safety program and food-handling procedures.
