Sodexo is seeking a Starbucks Barista at MASSACHUSETTS COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service and preparing hand-crafted beverages in a campus setting.

The position is part-time with varying shifts, including some weekends/holidays. Training and benefits are provided; barbering duties may vary by site and client requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Must have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with quick, friendly, personalized service.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages per order.
• Maintain fast service and friendly guest relations.
• Educate guests on menu offerings and upsell.
• Arrange coffee bar supplies and keep displays attractive.
• Often clean coffee machines and prep areas.
• Record sales, handle cash, and follow cash procedures.
• Walk/stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attend shifts on time and with regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Location: MASSACHUSETTS COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN - 45714006

Workdays/shifts : Varying shifts, days/hours, and some weekends/holidays. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay Range: $25.20 per hour - $27.46 per hour

**What You’ll Do:** As a Starbucks Barista at Sodexo, you will provide exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc., while considering customer specifications.
• Works to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages and food items.
• Educate guests regarding menu offerings and initiate suggestive selling.
• Arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays.
• Often cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas.
• Records all sales, collects money, operates a cash register, and follows all cash-handling procedures as required.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
