Job summary

GenServe is a leading independent provider of scheduled and emergency generator maintenance, repair, and sales for commercial clients. We seek a skilled Power Generator Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, load banks, and repairs on standby generators in the field.

You will work with diesel, natural gas, and propane-powered systems across industrial and municipal sites. Growth paths to Level 2 and Level 3 are supported through paid training and OEM certifications, with on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or certifications in diesel engines, generator systems, or electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair services on standby generator systems.
• Independently diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools and documentation.
• Troubleshoot engine and generator components including batteries, starters, alternators, fuel systems, and control panels.
• Complete load bank testing and inspections to ensure generator performance.
• Maintain service records, inspection reports, and parts usage documentation.
