Job description

Position Overview:

The stand-up Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to perform duties within warehouse operations.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift
2. Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments
3. Support all operational processes and procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with all CJ policies, customer requirements and federal/state/local regulations
4. Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation
5. Inspect each pallet and/or case for proper quantities, item brands, and lot codes
6. Communicate problems, concerns and ideas to management. Identify process improvements.
7. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
8. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
9. Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines
10. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of and ability to operate a Stand-up forklift
2. Meet medium level physical exertion requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
3. Ability to learn how to operate RF systems in logistics environment
4. Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork
5. Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction
