Job summary

Flex--n--gate in Detroit, MI seeks an operator to independently set up and maintain process controls and injection molding systems to meet customer specifications. You will run equipment, troubleshoot issues, and document production data while coordinating with Maintenance, Quality and Supervisors.

Requirements include programming experience, ability to read schematics, PLC troubleshooting, and supporting ISO/TS/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read safety rules and operation instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math for weights and measures.
• Ability to apply written or oral instructions to procedures.
• Knowledge of TPOs/ABS/PCs
• Industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation
• Must have programming experience
• Able to read electrical schematics and drawings
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• Participate in safety audits and maintain a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain process controls that meet specifications.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment according to work instructions.
• Optimize processes by reducing scrap, cycle times and changeovers.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production quality.
• Use data to improve running processes and performance.
• Describe system components and malfunctions with technical reports.
