Job summary

Penmac Staffing Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a metal fabrication shop in Fort Smith, AR. The role requires stainless steel TIG welding expertise and will include an onsite skills test with the client.

The position is full-time with 1st shift hours, potential overtime, and benefits including medical coverage and an ESOP. Candidates should have reliable attendance and be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled shop environment.

Qualifications

Must be an experienced TIG welder using stainless steel for an established metal fabrication shop in the Fort Smith area.
Must complete a skills test onsite with client.
May require some travel depending on work needs.
Must have good attendance and be able to work in a shop environment that is not temperature-controlled.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe operation of equipment and machinery using CMMS.
Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
Work with the facility manager to update production processes and system software.
Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.
Safely operate power tools, hoists, and hand tools.
