Job summary

Victoria ISD FINE ARTS DEPT is seeking a part-time Stagehand in Victoria, Texas. The role supports the Fine Arts Center Manager and on-site staff with ongoing events, rentals, and daily maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and some theater experience. Duties include assisting with lighting, sound, rigging, stage setup, and general upkeep, with weekend shifts possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some experience with theatrical productions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up stage elements (chairs, stands, drapes, equipment) as required.
• Assist with technical operations (lights, sound, rigging).
• Sweep, vacuum, and maintain building appearance.
• Set up, maintain, and strike entertainment elements (staging, video, sound, lighting).
• Load and unload equipment from trucks.
• Disassemble staging elements and store properly.
• Open and close curtains.
• Assist with seating for events.
• Staff concessions during events.
• Participate in staff development and VFAC meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
