Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a Stage Technician to assist with the setup, strike, and run of shows at the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts (VBC).

You will gain hands-on experience across departmental, university, and touring productions, working primarily in the afternoons and evenings. This hourly, 10-hour-per-week position offers growth in stage management, lighting, sound, A/V, and rigging, with pay starting near $10 per hour and adjusted by skill level.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform minor physical labor.
• Not afraid of heights.
• Interest in sound, lighting, A/V or stage management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Stage Technician, you will assist with the set‑up, strike, and run of all shows at the VBC.
• You will be trained with hands‑on experience across show schedules and departments.
• Shifts are mainly in the afternoons and evenings; opportunities vary with the schedule.
