Curated Events is a leader in luxury event rentals and live event productions in Covington, LA. The Stage Hand supports the load-in, setup, operation, and load-out of live events and collaborates with audio, lighting, video, rigging, and staging teams to keep shows running safely and on schedule.

This entry-level role offers hands-on learning opportunities in the live events industry, with potential to advance as you gain experience in staging, rigging, and production operations.

Formación

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Stand, walk, and move for long hours (10–14 hours).
• Evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight load-outs may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Responsabilidades

• Load and unload trucks and move equipment, cases, and staging materials to and from the venue.
• Assemble and disassemble stages, risers, platforms, barricades, and scenic elements.
• Assist with setting up audio, lighting, video, and backline equipment under direction of department heads.
• Run cable, set up trussing, and help prepare rigging points under supervision of qualified riggers.
• Assist with show-day operations, including scene and prop changes, equipment resets, and backstage support.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques and PPE.
• Keep stages and backstage areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Inventory, inspect, and pack equipment during load-out.
• Communicate clearly with crew leads, production managers, and venue staff.

Job Summary:

The Stage Hand supports the load-in, setup, operation, and load-out of live event productions. Working alongside our audio, lighting, video, rigging, and staging departments, you will help build and strike stages, move and set equipment, and keep the show running safely and on schedule. This is a great entry point into the live event industry, with real opportunities to learn and advance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks and move equipment, cases, and staging materials to and from the venue
• Assemble and disassemble stages, risers, platforms, barricades, and scenic elements
• Assist with setting up audio, lighting, video, and backline equipment under the direction of department heads
• Run cable, set up trussing, and help prepare rigging points under the supervision of qualified riggers
• Assist with show-day operations, including scene and prop changes, equipment resets, and backstage support
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment
• Keep stages, backstage areas, and work zones clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Inventory, inspect, and pack equipment accurately during load-out
• Communicate clearly with crew leads, production managers, and venue staff

Qualifications:

Required

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly, and up to [75] lbs with assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work for extended periods, often 10 to 14 hours
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight load-outs
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to follow direction under pressure
• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

• Previous experience in live events, theater, concerts, or warehouse work
• Basic knowledge of stage terminology and production equipment
• Comfort working at heights (training provided)
• OSHA 10, first aid/CPR, or forklift certification
• Valid driver's license

Working Conditions:

Work takes place in a variety of venues, including arenas, theaters, convention centers, hotels, and outdoor sites, in all weather conditions. Shifts can be physically demanding and may involve loud environments, haze or fog effects, and flashing lights. Local and occasional overnight travel may be required.
