Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a motivated Staffing Specialist to join our team in a full-time, internal role. The position focuses on delivering superior client service, sourcing and onboarding candidates, and driving business growth through sales and networking.

A background in sales, customer service, recruiting, or business development is ideal. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, be self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while traveling

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or business development preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to client locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals

Qualifications
