Job summary

Surge Staffing in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Staffing Specialist / Recruiter to join our energetic, customer-focused team. This entry-level, full-time role emphasizes recruiting, screening, onboarding, and building strong client relationships while delivering excellent service to candidates and clients.

You will source candidates from job boards, interviews, and referrals, manage relationships with clients and temporary staff, and contribute to branch growth and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or business development preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to client locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals
